The top is solid AA Western Red Cedar, with Indian rosewood back and sides. With the WY1-12, Yairi Luther's have constructed a guitar that embodies magic so many players seek and yet few to find: delicate balance of roaring power subtle, shimmering detail. Simultaneously, the strings exert down-pressure on saddle and bridge, ensuring that it cannot be pulled off guitar. Yairi instruments also use an extended dovetail neck block.

Under the top, there is an ebony block with a flange that pulls bridge plate and top. All of our guitars and gear have been stored in a climate/humidity controlled room.
