2004 H-535 Guitar in Heritage Sunburst Finish by Gibson: A Semi-Hollow Masterpiece

Introducing the 2004 Gibson H-535 Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar, featuring a stunning Heritage Sunburst finish that harkens back to the golden age of guitar craftsmanship. This exquisite instrument is a true testament to Gibson's unwavering commitment to innovation and quality.

The 2004 H-535 boasts a semi-hollow body design, which provides the player with the best of both worlds - the rich, resonant tones of a hollow body and the feedback resistance of a solid body. The guitar's iconic shape is crafted from premium maple, providing the ideal balance of weight and durability. The guitar's top and back are finished in a beautiful Maple Cap with a heritage sunburst finish, adding a vintage aesthetic without compromising on the modern functionality.

The neck of this 2004 Gibson H-535 is a work of art in itself. Measuring 24.75 inches in length and crafted from mahogany, this six-bolt set-in neck offers a comfortable playing experience for any musician. The neck profile is a classic '50s rounded shape, which feels smooth and familiar in the hand. A rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets completes the neck, providing ample room for expression and ensuring excellent intonation.

The electronics on this beautifully crafted guitar include two Gibson Burstbucker 1 humbuckers. These vintage-inspired pickups deliver authentic Gibson tone with a warm and full sound, making them a favorite among musicians who value classic tones. The guitar features a traditional 3-way pickup selector switch, allowing the player to easily access the unique tonal characteristics of each pickup.

The hardware on the 2004 H-535 Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar is top-notch. A Tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece ensures superior sustain and accurate intonation. The vintage-style, open-back tuning machines also contribute to the overall aesthetic while providing reliable tuning stability.

This 2004 H-535 guitar is a must-have for any player looking for a timeless, versatile semi-hollow body electric guitar with a rich heritage and unrivaled tone. With its premium construction, classic design, and excellent modern features, the H-535 is a guitar that delivers on both style and substance. Whether you're playing blues, rock, or jazz, this iconic instrument is sure to provide you with a playing experience that inspires and delights.

SweetWater's Note: The 2004 Gibson H-535 Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar may show signs of normal wear, which might include scratches or minor imperfections from years of play. These marks not only add to the guitar's unique character but also serve as proof of its authenticity and long history. These marks do not affect the guitar's functionality and do not compromise its tonal quality. Each guitar comes inspected, set-up, and ready to play.

H-535 Guitar Heritage Sunburst Hollow Body (2004) - A Comprehensive Analysis

Introduction:

The H-535 Guitar Heritage Sunburst Hollow Body, manufactured in 2004, is a semi-hollow electric guitar produced by Heritage Guitars. Its striking sunburst finish and classic hollow body design attract the attention of many guitar enthusiasts. In this analysis, we will explore the advantages and disadvantages of investing in this particular model.

Pros:

1. Tone and Sound: The semi-hollow body design provides a rich, full-bodied tone that is ideal for various musical styles, including jazz, blues, and rock. The guitar's tone is warm and articulate, making it an excellent choice for players who value a deep, resonant sound.

2. Playability: This H-535 model features a set mahogany neck with a bound rosewood fretboard, making for a smooth and consistent playing surface. The 12-inch fretboard radius and 1.6875-inch nut width cater to a wide range of playing styles and preferences.

3. Customizable: The H-535 comes with a pair of Seymour Duncan JB and Jazz pickups, providing versatility in tone. Players can easily switch between humbuckers for a stronger output or coil-splitting for a more nuanced, single-coil sound.

4. Aesthetic Appeal: The iconic sunburst finish gives this guitar an exceptional visual appeal, making it stand out in any guitar collection. The classic lines and elegant details are reminiscent of the golden age of guitar design, providing a timeless look that continues to captivate guitar enthusiasts.

5. Build Quality: The H-535 is crafted with premium materials, including a maple top, mahogany body, and high-quality Electro-Sustain Systems, delivering a durable and reliable instrument.

Cons:

1. Weight and Resonance: Due to its semi-hollow design, the H-535 may be heavier than some solid-body guitars, which could potentially be a disadvantage for certain players, especially those with back or shoulder issues. Additionally, a hollow body may be more susceptible to feedback, impacting its use in live performances.

2. Maintenance: The hollow body design and / or finish may require additional care and attention compared to solid-body guitars. Regular checking for humidity levels and occasional touch-ups may be necessary to maintain the guitar's appearance and top quality.

3. Price: The H-535 comes with a premium price tag, which might not be within reach for everyone, especially emerging musicians or those starting their guitar journey.

Conclusion:

The H-535 Guitar Heritage Sunburst Hollow Body (2004) boasts an impressive list of advantages, from its rich tone to excellent playability and eye-catching finish. However, there are also challenges when it comes to weight, resonance, maintenance, and cost.

Recommendation:

Given the aforementioned pros and cons, this guitar is an excellent choice for seasoned professional musicians, hobbyists, and collectors who value a full-bodied, resonant tone and the aesthetics of a classic hollow body design. For beginners or those on a budget, it may be worth considering alternative, more affordable options or solid-body electric guitars before investing in the H-535. In summary, the H-535 Guitar Heritage Sunburst Hollow Body (2004) represents a significant investment, but offers unmatched quality, sound, and aesthetic appeal for guitar enthusiasts willing to take the plunge.
