The Taylor 612ce, introduced in 1997, is a rare and highly valued acoustic-electric guitar from the renowned American luthier brand, Taylor Guitars. This 612ce model features the iconic Grand Auditorium body shape, renowned for its balanced tone and versatility, paired with a beautiful Cherry Burst finish.
The Grand Auditorium body shape offers an optimal blend of volume, tone, and ease of playing. The compact size and slightly scalloped bracing died not only provide the sustain and projection required for stage performance, but the comfort and balance needed for long practice sessions and gigs. This specific model boasts a solid Sitka spruce top, complemented by layered Indian rosewood for the back and sides. The combination of these premium tonewoods ensures a rich and dynamic tonal spectrum, capable of delivering exceptional clarity and projection.
The 612ce model is true to Taylor's commitment to craftsmanship and innovation. This guitar features the Expression System 2 electronics, which captures the guitar's acoustic tone and converts it into a high-quality, natural-sounding amplified signal. It includes a discrete preamp with a robust three-band equalizer design for exceptional clarity and volume control, making it perfectly suitable for both live performances and recording studio sessions.
Aesthetically, this 1997 Taylor 612ce Cherry Burst is an absolute stunner. The deep, rich hue of the cherry burst finish wraps around the solid maple neck andcodecobalt fretboard, giving it a striking appearance that is as delightful to the eyes as it is pleasing to the ears. The satin finish on the neck provides an elegant and comfortable playing experience, while also highlighting the beautiful grain patterns on the ebony bridge and pickguard.
Rounding out the guitar's appointments, a 20-fret scale length, awesome playability, and superb intonation make the Taylor 612ce cherished by guitarists worldwide. With its exceptional sound quality, striking appearance, and unparalleled craftsmanship, the Taylor 612ce Cherry Burst from 1997 is a truly remarkable instrument that evokes the perfect harmony of classic design and modern innovation.
