I custom ordered this guitar because Ovation did not manufacture with all of the features that wanted on it. This guitar is a one of kind instrument that you won't find available anywhere else. So I am selling all my round soundhole Ovations. This guitar only has one issue and that is a finish crack developed around 2003 just above the bridge below soundhole.

It plays very smooth and easy. The neck is straight and true. Ovation had just introduced their new optima preamps with an onboard tuner and this was not available on the balladeer model so I ordered for my guitar too. The reason that I am selling it is because have decided to go with an all multiple-soundhole Ovation lineup.

The item for sale is a 1997 Ovation balladeer 1751-X guitar, custom ordered and made in factory Bloomfield, ct. The cadillac green color looks great on stage and I have always gotten lots of compliments about what a beautiful guitar this is. If you are not familiar with the Ovation balladeer, I will list specs of this guitar below so can see exactly what getting.

I am selling this guitar with its original Ovation hard shell case. I don't know what caused it, but it Hans't gotten any larger and has never affected the guitars sound or ability to keep in tune. I just want a different look on stage now.

Attachable tuners are easy to use but they don't grip the Ovation head stocks very well at all because of scalloped top and can fall or get knocked off easily, so having onboard tuner is important. The chrome tuners are flawless and electronics work perfectly.
