The quality of the wood level of craftsmanship are inferior. I have included a Gibson acoustic guitars catalog from 1999 featuring sj 200 on cover and the specs radius. Plays absolutely fantastic. Tiny bit of finish missing from in front of the bridge.

Pick guard traditional hand made engraved hand painted sj 200 tortoise with flowers and dots. This model is no longer available from Gibson. Extra nice plush lining and accessories pocket.

Original hard shell care with arched top. 17 degree pitch. The AAA solid steak spruce top exhibits attractive sulking.

Compound dovetail joint using hide glue. This example is far superior to what Gibson is currently offering. Sounds awesome. 4 ply white black white heel cap truss rod single action head stock black overlay with period correct mother of pearl Gibson logo crown.

Back 4 ply white black white top wood AAA solid steak spruce with traditional double ring rosette braces hand scalloped radius ed top bracing in x pattern secured with hide glue back sides AAA solid flamed maple. Has very minor play wear and minuscule paint fade on the pick guard. Beautiful full warm loud tone with sustain. The case is made from multiple playoff wood with an arched top covered in black pebble grain Rolex.

Black white truss rod cover. Marquetry strip inlaid in back.
