Just amazing material the nut is also bone again. When jean was building very much in the boutique fashion, with an amazing small team of Luther's which included over the years Linda manner, grit la skin, Sergei de Kong, David wren, tony digging smith, his wife Wendy, his sons Matthew, and john jr, and a number of others very prominent Luther's to this day. The condition of this guitar is quite excellent overall.

And a fairly rare model.

Being in victoria. Which was a remarkable effort on his part.

The head stock features one of Wendy Larrivee beautiful vine and flowers inlays, and the fingerboard also has one of their lovely torch fingerboard position markers. But especially considering how thin the finish is. Jean was intentionally near the steak forests, and made sure that he was always able to get the best of the old growth steak spruce that came out of those forests.

The frets show only very light signs of wear. Especially being left handed.

Upper bout width inches. Nut width inches. Is that he always picked out all of the wood that went in to his guitars.

And you can really feel it vibrate when you play. Also notable about jean Larrivee. And I mean really super fine grain.

It has a nice deep, firm, round bass, with very sweet warm Midas, and crisp, crystal clear highs. If you are a lefty.

The binding is also Indian rosewood, with ultra delicate violin purling lines, and blue Paula abalone purling on the top edge and rosette.

There are a few small nicks or indentations in the top and a few other areas around the body. Which was always notable about Larrivee guitars form the victoria era. Elegant is always the word that comes to mind for me.

You can hear them all cleanly and clearly. You would be hard pressed to find a better guitar than this lovely Larrivee l 10. A superb Honduran mahogany neck, and ebony fingerboard and bridge.

And play lefty inches. The top is a super fine grain old growth Canadian steak spruce.

There is a very small chip out of the bone saddle on the bass side, but it is out at the very edge, and not near or touching the low e string. And so very well made.

Scale length appears to be to pick out all of the wood used in the making of his guitars and a few light scuff marks here and there. Very comfortable. Really offers super nice play ability up the neck.

Jean Larrivee just had the best steak out there. width at waist 10 inches.

It has huge amount of sustain, and a nice moderate level of overtones, and harmonics surrounding the root note tone, but not overpowering it. The lower 48 states.

The guitar has an ultra thin nitro lacquer finish that is just fantastic to behold, and I think a very definite reason as to why this guitar sounds so good. In a word or two. For although it is super clean and nice.

In very good shape, and is super clean and nice on the inside. And it goes without saying that the build quality is equal to the wood quality.

It is a very light guitar, for a rosewood guitar, at 4 pounds 8 ounces, so it is very comfortable to hold, either sitting or standing. The basic specs measurements are as follows total guitar length inches super well quarter swan. And are looking for a really and truly superb guitar.

This guitar has a nice heavy duty Larrivee 5 latch hard shell case, which is in very good condition, showing light signs of use and travel wear. Body depth inches at lower bout. Not super cannon loud, but plenty loud, which is terrific with the clarity of the voice because this guitar really has a great cut to it's voice, and really comes through.

He traveled whenever, and wherever he needed to the serial number is 205x, so I think this is a mid to possibly late 90's victoria era Larrivee. And elegant including signature required delivery.

In my subjective opinion of course. This is a really just a glorious guitar from Larrivee. It has the traditional superb Larrivee balance of tone.

Very typical of Larrivee. But it is overall.

The back and sides are just a glorious set of brick orange red Indian rosewood.

It has some form of under saddle pickup in it, which seems to work, and sound really nice. Period the neck is a typical Larrivee low profile gentle c shape I am especially fond of the older victoria era Larrivee's. Just glorious.
