The blue inlay sticker on the head stock is just an inlay sticker, they go on and come off very easel so you can remove it if you wish. Unlike wood guitars you never have to worry about this one in climate changes. Rainsong's are maintenance free a very dependable guitar.
The Rainsong originally comes with a molded hard shell case, which was badly cracked, so I replaced it with a brand new top of the line deluxe stag case. I just put new strings on it and a new battery in the fisherman electronics which sound amazing. I added a pick guard to match, the standard states that the guitar is loud and that is true if you use standard picks but, if you use the carbon fiber pick the sound completely changes to a warm creamy tone. These guitars do not warp and crack like wood guitars.
It is covered in black tweed with plush black interior, I also added a nice Rainsong emblem on the inside on the case as you can see in the photo, the case also has a nice padded handle, a much better case that the original in my opinion. This is the guitar that has a thinner neck n1 more like a modern Les Paul. I have seen a lot of expensive wood guitars that have split and cracked do to climate changes.
The guitar is in very nice condition for it's age only showing a couple very small dings around the edge, that you should be able to see in photos. Since the guitar does not have a truss rod it does not have a truss rod cover, but as you can see, I did slide a truss rod cover under the strings that hold it on just for looks, the truss rod cover is made of black ebony wood and is inlay ed with real rock pearl, and yes it is a guy fishing, but I don't think he has had any luck yet because I don't see any sharks missing. I really hate to part with this one, it is one of my favorite guitars, but the wife could use a new car and this would help.
This guitar does not have a truss rod, so no matter what gauge strings you put on it, it never needs to be adjusted, and it is set with a very low action. Carbon fiber picks sound more like a coin if you drop it. This is a classic Rainsong JM1000 jumbo acoustic guitar.
It is very easy to play.
