Review GODIN Acousticlassic Nylon Guitar Multiac Predecessor

The Godin Multiac Acoustic Classic guitar is a sophisticated and versatile instrument that seamlessly blends the best of both worlds: the rich, dynamic tone of an acoustic guitar with the versatility and convenience of a pickup-equipped electric guitar. crafted with exquisite attention to detail, this guitar is an excellent choice for those who require the flexibility to switch between acoustic and electric sounds effortlessly.

The heart of the Multiac Acoustic Classic lies in its solid wood body, featuring a solid cedar top and solid mahogany back and sides. The top's matte finish enhances the guitar's resonance andPROMISING1 tactility, while the glossy finish on the back and sides showcases the beautiful grain of the mahogany. The body shape is inspired by the traditional Dreadnought design, providing a familiar and comfortable playing experience.

The Multiac Acoustic Classic boasts a number of innovative features that set it apart from traditional acoustic guitars. For starters, it's equipped with Godin's patented Quantum IT electronics system, which features undersaddle pickups and piezo elements located near the saddle, providing a balanced and natural sound both acoustically and electrically. This system also includes a 3-band EQ, volume control, and mid contour control, allowing for fine-tuning of your sound.

Another notable feature is the removable neck, which is a trademark of Godin guitars. This ingenious design allows for easy transportation and storage, as well as the ability to change between neck types or lengths without the need for extensive setup work. The neck itself is made of Canadian laurel, a hardwood that offers excellent tone and sustain. The fingerboard and bridge are crafted from richlITE, a synthetic material that provides the look and feel of ebony with the added durability and resistance to moisture.

The Godin Multiac Acoustic Classic is equipped with a high-quality bone nut and compensated saddle, ensuring optimal intonation and string vibration transfer. The gold Schaller Mini locking tuners provide smooth, accurate tuning and stability, while the open gear design adds a touch of elegance.

With its beautiful solid wood construction, innovative electronics, and versatile design, the Godin Multiac Acoustic Classic is an exceptional choice for guitarists who demand the best of both worlds. Whether performing live or recording in the studio, this guitar delivers a rich, full-bodied sound that will inspire your creativity and elevate your playing to new heights.

The Godin Multiac Acoustic Classic is a unique acoustic-electric guitar that combines the tonal characteristics of an acoustic guitar with the versatility of a electric one. Let's examine both the pros and cons of purchasing this instrument to help you make an informed decision.

Pros:

1. Acoustic and Electric Tones: The Multiac Acoustic Classic offers both outstanding acoustic and electric tones. Its unique body shape offers a balanced and rich acoustic sound, while the pickups provide a wide range of electric tones.

2. Versatified: With the acoustic-electric setup, you can easily switch between the two worlds, making it an ideal choice for various performance scenarios, from unplugged sessions to live gigs.

3. Engaging Playability: The Multiac Acoustic Classic features an ergonomic and comfortable body shape and a neck designed for effortless play. This allows for hours of practice and performance with minimal fatigue.

4. High-Quality Construction: The guitar is crafted with premium materials, including a solid cedar top and laminated cherry back and sides. The Advanced Multiple Acoustic System (A.M.A.S.) ensures optimal transfer of acoustic vibrations to the pickups.

5. Tone Controls: The guitar includes tone controls for the electric output, providing fine-tuned adjustments for your specific sound preferences.

Cons:

1. Price Point: The Godin Multiac Acoustic Classic comes with a higher price tag compared to regular acoustic guitars due to its advanced features and materials.

2. Weight and Bulk: The guitar's unique body shape can add extra weight and bulk, which may not be ideal for guitarists who prefer lightweight instruments or frequent travel.

3. Neck Profile May Not Suit All: While the Multiac Acoustic Classic offers excellent playability for most, some players may find its neck profile less comfortable if they are accustomed to other neck designs.

In conclusion, the Godin Multiac Acoustic Classic is an excellent investment for guitarists seeking both acoustic and electric capabilities in a single instrument. Its balanced tone, versatile features, and high-quality construction offer a unique playing experience. However, its higher price point, weight, and neck profile may deter some players. If you prioritize versatility, comfort, and premium tone, the Multiac Acoustic Classic is a solid choice. Alternatively, if you primarily seek a traditional acoustic guitar without the added electric capabilities or costs, another model may be more suited to your needs.

My recommendation would be to try playing the Godin Multiac Acoustic Classic in person if possible, to see if the extra cost, weight, and unique neck profile align with your playing style and preferences. Should the answer be affirmative, this instrument could significantly upgrade your musical journey.

So, the prettiest, and rarest, gets to go on block. I'm a gigging musician not collector. The tines in this model really make it sing, whether plugged or not, and could render delay reverb unnecessary.

9 months later, its finally completely up to snuff. Loved it for about three weeks, before I finally plugged in. You can see any dings that i've detected, in the photos. Luther hooked it up with pro-Artie medium tension.

This is an original Godin acousticlassic, classical guitar, made in canada. Nut width string at this has been a true labor of love. Turned out, the preamps was crapped out. It uses 2 9v batteries under the controls for preamps duties, and just has a 1/4 jack.

Sounds great through my acoustic image or pa system. Hey kids, this is a great one. Meanwhile, I purchased other guitars to replace it.
