There is a small dent on the side of the lower bout that can be made out in the light, other than that the guitar looks pristine with no scratches, checking or any type of aesthetic or structural flaws. It is very loud, clear and has a strong bass response while retaining a very balanced sound. The mahogany back and sides lend to the warm wood y qualities of this model.

Where I have played many maple j200 that sound thin. This beautiful 2013 sj 100 plays like a dream. The sunburst top is a gorgeous steak spruce with some really nice sulking to the grain.
