They are stamped with a tiny used on the back of head stock and serial partially removed to prevent dishonest dealers from selling you an instrument claiming it is warranted. Not stressed enough. My son was very pleased, guitar looks nice, I can't see why it had to be labeled used, obviously nothing that could and neither son, perfect for someone getting started better quality than a truly used.
