This guitar is meticulously crafted using high-quality materials and advanced technology, making it an attractive option for both professional musicians and enthusiastic beginners.

Body and Neck:

At the heart of the F45-12CE NXT is a Solid Sitka Spruce top, which provides an exceptional tone with exceptional projection and clarity. The back and sides are made of laminated Wild Cherry, adding both aesthetic appeal and robustness to the guitar. The guitar features a traditional 12-string X-bracing pattern for enhanced structural stability and sonic efficiency.

The neck is constructed of Mahogany, ensuring a smooth, comfortable playing experience, with a 12-inch radius Dovetail Set-in neck for improved neck joint strength and stability. The fingerboard and bridge are also made of Walnut, offering durability and excellent tone transfer.

Hardware and Electronics:

The F45-12CE NXT comes equipped with a modern Tusq X Bridge, which enhances sustain and tuning stability. It also houses a discreetly installed Guild's S.I.T. (Sound Immersion Technology) pickup system, allowing for a balanced and authentic amplified tone. The system includes an under-saddle piezo pickup and a discreetly positioned soundhole mounted preamp with EQ controls for bass, mid, treble, and volume knobs. The onboard chromatic tuner provides added convenience for fine-tuning your strings on the fly.

Additional Features:

This guitar features a 1-11/16 inches nut width, 25.5-inch scale length, and an overall length of 42 inches. It also includes a Guild hardshell case for safe and secure transportation. The F45-12CE NXT Natural 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar is a perfect blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology, offering an unmatched playing experience for 12-string guitar enthusiasts.

The Guild F45-12CE NT 12-string acoustic-electric guitar is a popular choice for musicians seeking a high-quality instrument for both live performances and studio recordings. Let's explore the pros and cons of this guitar to help you make an informed decision.

Pros:

1. Solid Sitka Spruce Top: The solid Sitka Spruce top provides excellent resonance, tone, and volume, making it an ideal choice for a 12-string acoustic-electric guitar.

2. Mahogany Back and Sides: Mahogany is a common choice for the back and sides of acoustic guitars due to its rich, warm tone and durability.

3. Full-Depth Body: The full-depth body design allows for a more significant resonance and volume compared to traditional 12-string guitars with a slim depth body.

4. Easy-Play neck: Guild's easy-play neck ensures comfortable playability, making this guitar an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced players.

5. Fishman Sonitone Electronics: The Fishman Sonitone electronics provide a simple yet effective solution for amplifying the guitar's sound, making it a practical option for live performances.

6. Natural Finish: The natural finish enhances the aesthetics of the guitar and ensures that the wood's unique texture and grain patterns are visible.

Cons:

1. Price: The Guild F45-12CE NT is a mid-range price guitar and may not be suitable for beginners or those on a tight budget.

2. Scalloped Bracing: While some players might prefer the Guild's scalloped bracing for improved volume and tone, others might prefer a traditional non-scalloped bracing for more defined bass response.

3. Heavy: The full-depth body and 12 strings contribute to a heavy guitar, making it challenging for some players to handle for extended periods.

Conclusion:

The Guild F45-12CE NT 12-string acoustic-electric guitar is a high-quality instrument suitable for both live performances and studio recordings. Its solid Sitka Spruce top, mahogany back and sides, easy-play neck, Fishman Sonitone electronics, and natural finish are major advantages. However, its mid-range price, scalloped bracing, and heavy weight may deter some potential buyers. Ultimately, if you're seeking a premium 12-string acoustic-electric guitar with excellent tone, comfortable playability, and a natural finish, the Guild F45-12CE NT might be an excellent choice for you.

Recommendation:

If you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, consider the Yamaha APXT2 12-String Acoustic-electric Guitar. It has a smaller body size, a solid top, and a built-in preamp system, making it a popular choice for beginners and those on a budget. If you're looking for a professional-grade 12-string acoustic-electric guitar with a larger body size and high-end features, the Taylor 126ce Grand Symphony 12-String Acoustic-electric Guitar is worth considering.
