The top s rigid structure is essential for transferring the purest possible sound from the strings to the audience.
The sides and back of the guitar are crafted from laminated mahogany, contributing to the instrument's durability and robustness. The 20-fret neck, made from mahogany as well, is C-shaped for comfortable playability and easy access to the upper frets. The guitar's 12th fret inlays add a touch of elegance to its design.
The Washburn EA20S DL is an acoustic-electric guitar, enhancing its versatility with a comprehensive Fishman Sonitone undersaddle pickup and preamp system. The Washburn EA20S DL Acoustic-Electric Guitar Case (Model EX) is a popular choice among guitarists for protecting their instruments during transportation. In this analysis, we will discuss the significant advantages and drawbacks of this case.
Pros:1. Durable Design: The Washburn EA20S DL case features a high-density, impact-resistant foam interior that provides excellent protection against drops and impacts. The exterior is constructed from heavy-duty molded ABS plastic, ensuring the case is both lightweight and durable.
2. Convenient Features: The case includes multiple accessory pockets and a large front storage compartment for hassle-free organization of cables, picks, and other essentials. The case also comes with padded backpack-style straps for easy carrying.
3. Adjustable Neck Support: This case includes an adjustable padded neck cradle system that accommodates most neck angles, ensuring a secure and snug fit. This can provide additional protection to your guitar's neck during transportation.
4. Acoustic-Electric Compatibility: The case is specifically designed to fit both acoustic and acoustic-electric guitar shapes, providing flexible options for various guitar types and making it a versatile investment.
Cons:1. Limited Size Variations: Although this case accommodates a range of guitar sizes, it is mostly available only for full-sized instruments. If you own a smaller or oversized guitar, you may need to look into alternative options.
2. Potential Tight Fit: While the adjustable neck support can help accommodate various neck angles, some guitarists have reported that the case fits too tightly around their instruments, potentially putting unnecessary pressure on the neck.

Conclusion:The Washburn EA20S DL Acoustic-Electric Guitar Case (Model EX) offers a balanced combination of durability, convenience, and versatility. Though it may not be suitable for every guitar size, the protective features make it an attractive choice for professionals or enthusiasts seeking secure transportation solutions for their acoustic or acoustic-electric guitars. I collect Washburn acoustics, but its time to thin the heard out. Thanks, mark.
The neck is straight, and truss rod works correctly. The 18:1 Grover tuners work flawlessly. In my opinion, this era ea20 is far superior to the current offerings. It comes with the factory Washburn case for this guitar.
This listing is for my 2004 Washburn EA20SDL. For sale locally, so this listing may be cancelled at anytime. This is guitar in excellent condition, and a small ding on the front back are what holds it from being mint. The neck is maple, bridge and fret board are rosewood, top solid spruce tight grain pattern, back sides quilted maple.
The b-band electronics work great. The retainer tab on battery box is broken off, but fits very snugly actually tight into slot. It has a new set of Dario light gauge strings, and battery for the preamps.
It has very little, if any, fret wear.
