It has a had the lacquer on back of neck redone as there are is minor ding repair done about 2/3 way down from head stock. The last two photos represent very clearly looking at match of grain pattern, from inside to outside, this has a solid spruce top. There is at least one interested party whose research indicated this model guitar had a laminate top.
I took it upon myself to take a picture from the inside of guitar top underneath thanks remote selfie shutter on an iPhone and matching outside looking down see if grain pattern lined up, which would indicate solid. This is a beautiful sounding instrument, not in perfect shape but pretty close for its age. The neck had a crack that has been repaired and it is now stronger than new.
It has remarkable sound with what looks like at the hole to be a solid spruce top nicely aged. Laminate back and sides. It looks better in real life than the pictures, you'll have to take my word on that but is absolutely true.
I've made a couple corrections from an earlier listing. This guitar was made in south korea rather than japan. New price for guitar without the case here is a vintage Sigma Martin DM-2 acoustic.
