This particular guitar has no label or model designation but by comparing it to images and specs of the acoustic c-66 is almost certainly D-66 likely d-76 given beautifully striped maple usually reserved for a brands premium instruments. Vega arch tops were available in model's c26, c46, c66, c70 and c85 ascending order of quality. Electric versions of d26, d46 and d66 were also offered, together with a d76 premium model. It was one of the first model's electric guitar ever made and, to my knowledge, is completely original.

Its very difficult to find the exact year this guitar was made i've not found any reliable serial number lists for Vegas guitars but I feel confident somewhere between 1939 and a few dings scratches, some wear on back of neck, star-inlay head stock is missing that about all wear-and-tear she suffered over years. Lower bout is 17, scale length 25 and nut width i've had this guitar since 2010 have taken extremely good care of it. Its beautiful and everything works as should. The guitar is in remarkable condition for a 75-year old instrument.

It stays in tune incredibly well, and does not necessarily need to be treated as a fragile collectors item can handle being taken up on stage with no problem. Hard shell case included. The prior owner bought it from freedom guitars in Hollywood, ca, which specialized vintage at time. Vega offered only round hole flat-top guitars until 1933 when it began to produce f-hole arch tops which continued offer.
