The guitar's bridge is a traditional Belly-Style bridge, which is known for its ability to transfer string vibrations efficiently to the body, resulting in a rich and full-bodied tone. The bridge pins are made of ivory, adding to the instrument's classic look and feel.

The Washburn D-52SW 2009 CE is a solid wood acoustic-electric guitar that offers several advantages for players looking for versatility and high-quality sound. Here are some pros and cons to help you make an informed decision:
Pros:1. Solid Wood Construction: The D-52SW features a solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a mahogany neck. Solid wood construction allows the guitar to produce richer, fuller tone with better resonance and sustain.
2. Electro-Acoustic Features: The guitar comes with a LR Baggs Element pickup system, which provides a clear and accurate representation of the guitar's acoustic sound when plugged in. The onboard tuner and preamp make it easy to adjust the tuning and volume levels on the fly.
3. Versatile Playability: The D-52SW can be used as an acoustic guitar for traditional playing styles or as an electric guitar for amplified performances. The cutaway design allows easy access to the higher frets.
4. Attractive Aesthetics: The guitar boasts a beautiful gloss finish and attractive inlay work, making it an eye-catching addition to any guitar collection.
Cons:1. Price: The D-52SW is a mid-range guitar with a higher price tag compared to some entry-level models. This may make it less accessible to beginners or budget-conscious players.
2. Action Setup: Some customers have reported receiving the guitar with a high action setup, which can make playing more difficult for beginners or those with smaller hands.
3. Size and Weight: As a full-size acoustic-electric guitar, the D-52SW may be too large or heavy for some players, particularly children or those with mobility issues.
Conclusion:The Washburn D-52SW 2009 CE is an excellent choice for intermediate to advanced players seeking a versatile, high-quality guitar with solid wood construction and electro-acoustic features. Its rich, full tone and attractive aesthetics make it a worthwhile investment for those who can afford the higher price point. However, beginners or budget-conscious players may want to consider more affordable options, and those with smaller frames or mobility issues may find the size and weight of the guitar a challenge.
Recommendation:If you're an intermediate to advanced player seeking a versatile, high-quality acoustic-electric guitar with solid wood construction and electro-acoustic features, the Washburn D-52SW 2009 CE is an excellent choice. However, if you're a beginner or have a limited budget, consider exploring entry-level models with similar features or focusing on building your skills before investing in a more expensive guitar.
