After speaking with a Knilling representative, I was told this cello, if made today, to the same standards, would list for approximately 2499. Offered today I have a great, Knilling half size cello. I am a musician, so know what critical things to look for concerning stringed instruments.

Many of these instruments are now made in Romania. This is the german made version. Knilling half size cello make in germany circa year 2000 or older complete with original case bow included series: 158H serial no: 69071 free shipping. The case is original and as plush study a Cadillac.

So its at least 17 years old, maybe older. I have the instrument priced very reasonably considering a comparable, new cello would list for 2499. This cello is in outstanding condition, very few playing blemishes, no damage, abuse, nothing but a great, well-cared for fine. There is no warping or damage to the neck.

After research, I determined this cello was made around the year 2000 or before. This model has since been retired. Has the bow also.
