The Alvarez AG57CE Acoustic-electric Guitar is a versatile and high-performing instrument catering to the needs of both acoustic and electric amplified performances. This model, specifically, belongs to Alvarez's Artist Series, which is renowned for its focus on delivering rich tone and excellent playability.
Crafted with a solid, select Cedar top and Solid Mahogany back and sides, the AG57CE boasts a rich, full-bodied sound with balanced midrange and tight, articulate bass response. The cedar top is recognized for producing warm, well-rounded tonality, making it an ideal choice for musicians seeking a mellow and expressive sound.
The guitar features a beautifully scalloped, hand-soled X-bracing design, which not only adds to the guitar's visually appealing appearance but also ensures the top structure maintains its integrity, resulting in increased resonance and projection. This results in superior tone and volume, allowing every note to sing, which is especially essential when performing live.
Adding to the versatility factor, the AG57CE is outfitted with a built-in Fishman Isys T preamp and under-saddle piezo pickup system. This setup enables the guitar to be connected directly to an amplifier or PA system, making it perfect for various performance scenarios. The preamp features a user-friendly three-band EQ, phase switch, mid frequency shift control, notch filter, and volume control, ensuring optimal sound customization for any venue or setup.
Contributing to the guitar's overall comfort and ease of playability, the AG57CE comes equipped with Alvarez's proprietary bi-level bridge design and tusq X bridge pins. The bi-level bridge generates improved string alignment at the saddle and enhances intonation accuracy. The tusq X bridge pins are more stable and dampen string vibrations, improving the overall tone and sustain.
The AG57CE's neck is made from Mahogany, ensuring stability and ease of playability. This is further complemented by a Pau Ferro fingerboard andustawood headstock veneer, enclosing the Gotoh tuners. These features work together to allow for smooth, accurate tuning and superior playability.
The guitar's body and neck binding is made from white binding, and a multi-ply purfling adorns the body edges. The AG57CE comes with a high-gloss finish that emphasizes the woodgrain on the body and neck, thereby highlighting the appeal of the wood used in its construction.
In summary, the Alvarez AG57CE Acoustic-electric Guitar is a standout within the Artist Series, offering players an instrument of exceptional build quality and tone. With its rich, full-bodied sound, versatile electronic capabilities, and elegant design, this guitar is an excellent choice for those requiring a professional-quality instrument suitable for both unplugged and plugged-in performances.

Another nice factory feature to mention is the neck nut and bridge saddle are both solid bone. Ty for looking, please feel free to MSG me with any questions. One custom made in us for this instrument from 20 year old martin guitar back panels that were factory seconds i've replaced the plastic bridge pins with better solid ebony ones with abalone in lay dot and brass ring, they match guitar very nicely and improve tone slightly.
Very player friendly i'm told the pickup is nice on these however i've never plugged it into an amp. Neck is straight as an arrow and action is perfect. Tuner works perfect.
The solid rosewood back and side and cedar top make a very beautiful sound high and low. Please look up the specs on this and see for yourself.
Please research specs w any questions about that as it is now there is zero plastic on this instrument other than the pickup housing. 50th anniversary edition.
