2. Versatile: With its B-Band TM-2T preamp and undersaddle pickup, the Ibanez 627-12 allows for seamless transition between the unplugged acoustic sound and an amplified electric tone, catering to various performance scenarios.
3. solid top: The solid cedar top provides good resonance and sustain, ensuring a robust and harmonically rich tone.
4. Comfortable neck: The neck's slim neck profile and smooth finish enhance playability, making it a comfortable option even for extended playing sessions.
5. Affordability: Compared to other premium guitar brands, the Ibanez 627-12 offers a lower price point for a 12-string acoustic-electric guitar with these features.
III. Cons1. Tune stability: Due to the 12 strings, tuning stability might be a concern. Appropriate string care and regular tuning will be essential to maintain pitch consistency.
2. Weight and size: With 12 strings and a solid top, the guitar may be heavier than a standard 6-string acoustic guitar. This might make it less suitable for players with weaker upper body strength or limited space for storage and transport.
3. Fretwork: While new guitars usually have well-machined frets, fretwork issues may arise over time, necessitating professional attention or replacement.
4. Potential feedback: The amplified sound may produce feedback when the guitar is played at high volume, making it necessary to adjust settings or distance from the speaker.
IV. ConclusionThe Ibanez 627-12 acoustic-electric 12-string guitar is an attractive choice for those yearning for the classic 12-string tone in a contemporary and versatile instrument. Furthermore, its ability to switch between acoustic and electric modes, coupled with its sleek design and reasonable price tag, adds significant value for musicians. However, careful consideration should be given to potential challenges associated with tuning stability, weight, size, fretwork, and feedback.

The guitar has no strings or bridge pegs. I have been told this guitar was probably made 1972-1975. Neck joint looks excellent. Neck is straight.
Top looks healthy to me. There is fret wear typical of a guitar this old that was played lot. Always assume any used guitar you purchase online might need further setup to your personal preferences. No volume control.
No signs of damage or abuse. I cannot be sure of that, but have seen another that was from 1975 looked identical. Strap peg is the jack. It has an under saddle pickup which I do not believe is original.
If you are unsure, or want a specific shipper, contact me first. No body cracks or edge separations that I see. Also needs a new nut. There is nothing I can do about that.
Tuners are good. Comes with chipboard case.
