The Ovation 1867 Legend is a high-end acoustic-electric guitar that showcases Ovation's innovative design and exceptional craftsmanship. This guitar is perfect for musicians who seek a versatile instrument that delivers rich, sustainable tone for both live performances and studio recordings.
At the heart of the Ovation 1867 Legend is its unique rounded shakepearean body shape, which offers a modern and comfortable playing experience. The body is made from Ovation's proprietary Lyrachord material, which provides a deep, resonant tone with enhanced sustain and projection. This unique material also allows for a thinner body depth, making the guitar more comfortable to play for extended periods of time.
The neck on the Ovation 1867 Legend is made from mahogany and features a 25.5-inch scale length and a 1-3/4-inch nut width. This neck design provides a fast and smooth playing feel, making it ideal for players with smaller hands or those who prefer a more slender neck profile. The neck is also adorned with 20 high-precision, low-profile frets that allow for easy bending and smoother transitions between notes.
The Ovation 1867 Legend features a solid Sitka spruce top, which is known for its excellent tonal characteristics. This top is supported by a classic X-bracing pattern, which provides structural integrity and enhances the guitar's resonance and projection. The back and sides of the guitar are made from laminated mahogany, which adds warmth and depth to the overall sound.
The Ovation 1867 Legend comes with a built-in OP-PRO preamp system, which allows for easy amplification and tone shaping. The preamp features a three-band EQ, a tuner, and a volume control, giving players the ability to customize their sound to suit their playing style and performance environment. The preamp also has a phase switch, which helps to eliminate potential feedback issues when playing with amplification.
Other features of the Ovation 1867 Legend include a Rosewood bridge and fingerboard, 14:1 ratio machine heads for precise tuning, and a high-glossfinish that adds to the guitar's aesthetic appeal. The guitar also comes with a hardshell case for protection during transport and storage.
In conclusion, the Ovation 1867 Legend is a versatile and high-performing acoustic-electric guitar that offers exceptional tone, playability, and features. Its innovative design, top-notch construction, and advanced electronics make it an ideal choice for serious musicians who demand the very best in sound quality and performance.
