The heart and soul of this American-made Stratocaster are its sleek and resonant Maple Neck. The Maple wood is carefully selected for its straight grain and uniform density, ensuring stability and sustain. The neck's comfortable C-shaped profile is an inviting fit for most players, making it a joy to play for hours on end. The Maple Fingerboard, with its 21 classic frets and 12-inch radius, delivers a fast and responsive playing surface, making it perfect for intricate solos and complex chord shapes.
The American 2009 57 Stratocaster's body is crafted from two pieces of Alder wood, a time-honored choice for Fender guitars. Alder's tonal characteristics provide a balanced and warm sound, making it an excellent foundation for the guitar's trio of pickups. This Stratocaster comes equipped with three Custom Shop '57 Strat single-coil pickups. These pickups capture the essence of the original 1957 Stratocaster pickups, delivering a rich and full-bodied tone that is both clear and articulate.
The bridge on this American 2009 57 Stratocaster is a vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge. This bridge not only provides the classic "dive bomb" tremolo action that Stratocasters are known for, but it also maintains the intonation of the strings throughout the entire range of movement. The bridge and saddle are made of brass, contributing to the guitar's resonant tone and sustain.
The hardware on this guitar is a beautiful combination of Chrome and Nickel. The vintage-style tuning machines, with their smooth action and precise tuning, ensure that your strings stay in tune, even during the most energetic performances. The five-way pickup selector switch and the master volume and tone controls are all located within easy reach, allowing for quick and intuitive adjustments on the fly.

Pros:1. Vintage Tone: This Stratocaster features a trio of hand-wound '57-style single-coil pickups that deliver a classic, warm, and balanced sound.
2. Maple Neck: The maple neck provides excellent sustain, bright tone, and smooth playability.
3. Premium Hardware: The guitar comes equipped with a synchronized tremolo bridge, vintage-style tuning machines, and a 5-way pickup selector switch.
4. Authentic Finish: The nitrocellulose lacquer finish allows the wood to breathe and age naturally, contributing to the guitar's unique character.
5. Made in the USA: The Fender American Series guitars are manufactured in the USA, ensuring high-quality construction and attention to detail.
Cons:1. Price: The Fender American 2009 57 Stratocaster is a premium guitar with a higher price tag compared to other models.
2. Noisier Than Modern Guitars: Single-coil pickups are known to be noisier than humbuckers, so you may experience more hum and interference.
3. Neck Dive: The tremolo bridge on this guitar can cause significant neck dive, which may not be ideal for players who prefer a more stable bridge.
4. Nitrocellulose Lacquer Finish: While this finish has its benefits, it is more susceptible to scratches and dings than other finishes, requiring more careful handling.
Conclusion:The Fender American 2009 57 Stratocaster with a maple neck is an excellent choice for players seeking a vintage-inspired electric guitar with a warm, balanced tone and high-quality craftsmanship. While it comes with a higher price tag and some potential drawbacks, such as noise and neck dive, the pros far outweigh the cons for many guitarists.
